Is it a bug or do we again have people here who want to destroy OL

well, I just logged into OL and saw that some of my objects seemed to be SSO or cyclone Nargis was on my sims.
first I tried, was to relog to see if it just was a login 'feature', but Nargis still has done its 'work'.
this means that certain types of my trees as well as some rocks and some animals are not in the place anymore they were yesterday.
I talked to my OL neighbor who has the same issues and he witnessed people possibly doing that. he also told me a name.
as I did not witness anyone, I don't want to repeat this name as I can not be sure that this was caused by anyone, may be, it is a bug too - no idea.

however, if this really has done any avatar, I would be absolutely upset
1. by this persons/these persons

2. that this is possible at all as my land settings do not allow objects to be moved by others nor object or script entry, so how can this be possible????????????????
when I first saw this mess, I laughed, but I do't laugh anymore atm. please see the pics that show the disaster. hope, it is just a bug and not silly people whose only joy is to harm others.

not sure, but it seems to only affect quite old objects that I picked up for free (may be not made in OL??). any observations or analyses of this are welcome

Hmm, not good at all :-(
BUT i have seen some of the OLD stuff here has a rather open permission on them such as edit, take copy.
And it dosent matter how you have the landsettings set on thoose old things.
Maybee it was some of thoose things that was kicked around :-!

A month or two back this happened on welcome. There was evidently a setting you could put into the viewer (I forget how) and you could move things like the trees about. The rocks and dolphins.. that would not have been possible with the setting people were using then. Git and I spent awhile putting all the trees back where they went but when we tested it on items like the train or parts of the welcome build they would just snap right back in place when moved. I hope this is not happening again.

well, folks, Digi helped me to analyze the mechanism. It only concerns objects with permission 'allow anyone to move'.
So, advice: check your objects, esp. your elder freebies and change this permission setting (i.e. uncheck that box in the edit menu of the object), then no one should be able to harm you the way I've been stalked....

I am bit dissapointed by OL atm, I wanted to post my last reply to the OL forums too to help out people who might also be concerned by this issue, but my post (same text as my last one here) is not published at the OL forums.
I hope that this is due to some maintenance on the OL forum site and not due to the content of my post as the content is only to help other users to change the permissions of their objects in order not to be endangered by the same issue

yes .. this 90 seconds lasts a day .. i think its possible with a new IP (resetting the router) but I havent checked it out yet ...
