Terraforming Problems

Can anyone give me tips or advice on best way to terraform in OL? I can manage it perfectly well in SL, but it doesn't seem to work so good in OL atm. For instance, I find the easiest method is to "select" the area of land and apply to selection, but that doesn't always work. When trying without the select tool, it seems to be pretty much hit or miss!!
Any tips would be much appreciated.

For me, if I selected the entire region it worked. Otherwise I had/have to use the tool. So on the plus side, things terraform much much faster here but on the negative it is lots more work.

BTW, I just tried terraforming a smaller area on my region. This is NOT the night for terraforming. The grid is unwell.

Ana, all I can do is confirm the problem. No tips to offer as I can't see any workarounds. I have a support ticket in for what I describe below. If anyone is having the same terraforming problem I suggest you do the same (mentioning that it's not specific to your region). Even before the update terraforming was problematic. After the update it still is a problem. Typically the following was and still is happening :

1. Flattening land with or without selection using 'flatten land' would do the reverse - make the area more bumpier and rough

2. The effects of terraforming extend beyond the area selected, land adjacent to and outside the selection areas is affected by whatever terraforming you do in the selected area.

3. Select an area to terraform and apply a land tool and nothing happens (even if you make sure you are in the parcel) Moving the camera around and you av sometimes helps but there is no obvious pattern.

Sorry I can't be any more helpful. Problem resolution rests with 3DX devs.
