I'll quickly introduce myself. I'm in several educator, artist, and researcher groups in SL as Zann Canto or Xann Kanto. In RL I work in higher ed distance education, adjunct in EdTech, and am working on a PhD. Nice to see more educators here all the time. I live on Hollowbrook, and did own Phizix and Juliette, but am abandoning them (both gorgeous, waterfront pieces of land).

- Topics for this Thursday's meeting may include talking about setting up workshops, Open Life Volunteer program, setting up teacher offices, and getting a mailing list together. - If anyone is interested in meeting in-world on Thursdays at 12:30 PM GMT then stop on by. Some people have asked for a different time. I can meet on Tuesdays a little earlier, but that's about it for a few months (until January). But Petrona region is open. Feel free to use it as you wish.

OLPC Openlife Community

I have created a venue where OLPC developers or educators can meet in a virtual environment, regardless of their physical location on the planet - the OLPC Centre on the Openlife Grid.
I am opening up the OLPC Openlife center as a place for any OLPC and XO developers and educators to meet. Although the location is virtual the immersive experience of 'being present' is there.
