OL is Closing ( this is this weeks winning rumor)

So, OL is finally closing, can't say I didn't warn you all.

Many got out early, others stayed.

I give my sympathy to all those decent people in OL who have lost a lot of money through building and sim buying, I'm sure you'll bounce back somewhere else.

For the not so decent idiots, they know who they are, serves you right for being A Holes, roflmao.

I've added more furniture and appliances at Sorrento.

If you like your furniture built with detail, realism and quality then feel free to pay Sorrento a visit. The TP to the platform is next to the pagola by the ship.

Some have anims, some don't; if you want anims in your choice please let me know. All lounges and seats are built without the scrunchy bits on the sides, like you see on some sculpty seats.

Ship finished

For those interested in ships etc in virtual worlds, the Ship is now finished and can be viewed on Sorrento.

Lounge room, Bridge and Captains Quarters are all furnished. All scripts and doors are working. I built this ship against the odds and am very proud of my achievement considering it was my very first ship ever.

I have created a venue where OLPC developers or educators can meet in a virtual environment, regardless of their physical location on the planet - the OLPC Centre on the Openlife Grid.

The Openlife Grid is a virtual world (Opensim architecture) that allows people to meet and interact in a virtual environment. In that environment your presence is represented by a character on screen (avatar).

I am opening up the OLPC Openlife center as a place for any OLPC and XO developers and educators to meet. Although the location is virtual the immersive experience of 'being present' is there.
