It's the last Irish Music Night before Christmas so I'm likely to go a bit heavy on the holiday tunes this time. Lots of Chieftains, some Loreena McKennitt... you get the idea. Of course I'll still have plenty of the Clancy Brothers, U2, Dropkick Murphys, and lots of stuff in between.
See you a…

Hey, I'm back yet again to check on OLG & OLX developments. Sadly, I had to let go of my PC "Sanctuary" for $$$ reasons. Luckily, I don't mind wandering around :-)

Cat agus Cu - Live on Virtually Live - The Video
During the party on Virtually Live last Saturday I recorded some video of Mistletoe and Doc performing - the first 8 minutes or so. I had been reluctant to publish the video as I realised too late as I was recording it that my viewer/cam/av wasn't rendering the scene properly.
Mistletoe has previewed it and agreed that it may be published, even though it portrays her in an 'undead' mode ( I saw the same as Grimley reported ), wearing the…

Just a heads up but the website will be undergoing some maintenance shortly. ( Must be the mad season for doing this).
A note from NING is as follows for your info:
"Hello,
I'm writing because you've created a Ning Network that will require maintenance tomorrow evening. In order to continue to improve our stability and speed we'll be moving your network to a new server, along with a few other networks. During this migration your Ning Network will be offline and inaccessible. Depending on the…

I have been a mostly good elf this year. Getting by in RL has been kind of rough, so I’ve immersed myself deeply– maybe a little too deeply– in the virtual.
All I’d really like for Christmas this year is a decent job. And my very own Sim. I promise I’ll take good care of it. Thank you and say hi to all my old co-workers for me.
Sincerely,
Mistletoe.

As project leader and Chief Archeologist, I keep a blog of the finds as well as the log records I keep.
This has been updated recently and can be seen at
http://phaedran.blogspot.com
The museum has also been opened on Tropicana and houses both original and replicas of artifacts, documents and other items of interest. The exhibits include information on the location of the various items, and current thinking about them.
The Museum of P…

Mind you, I quintuple-checked the spelling of “Sheriff” to make absolutely certain I got it right! Here is one of very few stone buildings you’ll see in Mistletoe Creek: the Sheriff Office and local jail.…

I wanted to write this sooner, when it was fresher in my mind, but Things get in the way (and, I like to space things out enough so I don't look/feel like I'm
totally hogging the blogs).
But, this past Wednesday was the first event I've done in OL. Back in SL, I have an event resume that I wish could be my RL resume. I was Deputy Mayor of a medieval village sim in SL called Northfarthing for over a year. What the title (which I made up myself) essentially meant, was that while someone el…

So having mostly finished with the saloon, I've moved on to the next most important building in my someday sim: the rail depot. It will be situated just about dead center of the sim, so that when people TP in via Search they land directly onto the platform (which I think is better than onto the tracks, call me crazy).
It's a little building, but here's what I got:

I have a bit of a confession to make. I'm an elf who considers herself a humanitarian. I'm married to a human, I've spent a good deal of my life among humans; while it's true that humanity has its ugly side, I'm convinced it's no uglier than that of my fellow elf. Because of my feelings toward the human race, I find that many of the elves I've met in my almost 315 years really rub me the wrong way. Namely because of their dislike of humans.
In fact, for a short while (which seemed like centurie…

What was supposed to be an initial test of Adec's fine ice skates, turned into a full-fledged region stress test for Virtually Live, literally and figuratively.
There were between 15 - 20 avs skating for the better part of an hour and there are some seriously sharp elbows on the grid!
Adec is tweaking the final version of the skates with a helpful pitch-in by Dawn Harbour of London Core who, among other things, noted immediately that the Yeti-sizing was too limited for women's tastes. :) The s…
